Surface Water Flow Monitoring
Global Water FL16 Flow Logger
Applications
Inflow & infiltration studies, stormwater and wastewater collection systems
The FL16 Water Flow Loggers will record over 81,000 depth, temperature, water flow and velocity readings in sewer and drainage pipes, as well as other open channel applications. The non-fouling water level sensor works in depths as little as ½” and allows for deployment in manholes and other difficult to access areas without the need to enter the confined space.
The vented water flow sensor is fully encapsulated with marine grade epoxy and the electronics are encapsulated preventing moisture ingress. FL16 Water Flow Recorder’s user-friendly Windows-based software is tailored specifically for calculating water flows in partially filled sewer and drainage pipes using the Manning’s Equation. The Water Flow Recorder software has a unique calibration feature which allows users to view calculated water velocity, compare this to actual measured data, and adjust the water flow parameters to calibrate for the water flow conditions of a specific application. The Recorders operate on two standard 9 volt batteries which are monitored. A third onboard lithium battery serves to ensure data is backed up. USB or serial connections available.

Global Water FP111 and FP211 Global Flow Probe
Applications
Storm water runoff studies, sewer flow measurements, measuring flows in rivers and streams, and monitoring water velocity in ditches and canals.
A highly accurate water velocity instrument for measuring flows in open channels and partially filled pipes. The water velocity probe consists of a protected water turbo prop positive displacement sensor coupled with an expandable probe handle ending in a digital readout display and incorporating true velocity averaging for the most accurate flow measurements. The Turbo-Prop propeller sensor is designed to shed debris, is protected inside a 2" diameter housing and is easily removed for cleaning or replacement. The probe housing may be placed directly on the bottom of a pipe or streambed for measuring low flows down to 2" in depth. The LCD screen displays average, minimum, and maximum water velocity readings. Up to 30 sets of time and date stamped data points can be stored in the computer with the push of a button. The water velocity computer is powered by a non-replaceable battery that will last approximately five years with normal use. The FP111 has a 3’ to 6’ handle, while the FP211 has a 5’ to 15’ handle.

Global Water FC200-S Sewer Flow Monitor
Applications
Measuring and totalizing sanitary sewer system flows for VCP pipe.
The sewer flow meter measures water depth, and calculates and displays the sewer system’s flow and total flow values for any depth-to-flow relationship in any engineering units. The sewer flow meter is easily set up in the field. The Sewer Flow Monitors do not require a primary device to measure sewer flows. The sewer flow meter has been pre-programmed with a carefully selected group of common pipe sizes and slopes to meet the needs of the majority of sewer systems.
The water level sensor has a 2-wire 4-20 mA signal and the sensor and sewer flow meter can be connected with standard, twisted-pair signal wire. The sewer flow monitor displays flow rate on a large 6-digit LCD screen. The totalized output is shown on a second LCD display. The sewer flow monitor also produces an analog 4-20 mA output signal that is proportional to flow. This can be used for chart recorders, dataloggers, or as an input to telemetry or process control systems.

Global Water TX80 Turbine Insertion Flow Meter
The TX80 Series, Turbine Insertion Flow Meters, are turbine-type insertion flow meters designed for use in pipe sizes 1-1/2" to 8". Lowflow performance is superior for Insertion Turbine Flowmeters. The rotation of the rotor is detected by a non-drag Hall-effect sensor. The Insertion Turbine Flowmeter's output is a pulse-type square wave, which can be sent long distances (up to 2,000 feet) without a transmitter. This signal can be connected directly to PLC's, counters, and computer cards. TX80 Turbine Insertion Flow Meters are ideal for chemical proportioning applications. The TX80 Series Turbine Insertion Flow Meters require special fittings, since they are not depth-adjustable, installation in the fitting ensures correct depth placement in the pipe. Fittings are available in PVC, brass, and stainless steel. The Insertion Turbine Flowmeters are available in brass, 316 stainless steel, and polypropylene.

Global Water GL500 Multichannel Datalogger
The Global multichannel datalogger, GL500, is the latest addition to our line of rugged remote recording instrumentation. It features 7 analog channels and 2 digital channels for data recording. The GL500 can record over 40,000 readings and has four unique recording options, fast (10 samples per second), programmable interval (1 second to multiple years), logarithmic, and exception. The datalogger also has a sample on demand input that triggers a recording of special events, such as when a samwater pler was triggered, when a door was opened, etc. Daily start and stop alarm times can be programmed to limit recording intervals during a day. The GL500 includes Windows and PDA software, allowing easy upload of data to a laptop, desktop, or PDA for transfer to a spreadsheet program. NOTE: The Palm operating system is NOT supported.
