Soil Monitoring and Sampling
Sentek Diviner 2000
The Diviner 2000 is a portable soil moisture monitoring system. It consists of a probe and display unit and can hold data for up to 99 different sites. A simple “Swipe and Go” technology has been introduced alleviating the need to hold the probe and each depth. The probe is swiped in and out of the access tube allowing the sensors to take measurements at 16 depths in a few seconds.

Sentek EnviroSCAN
Sentek’s inaugural product, EnviroSCAN, is a complete and stand-alone soil water monitoring solution suitable for a wide range of applications. The EnviroSCAN system comprises multi-sensor capacitance probes connected to a customized data logging facility. The data captured by this system is displayed in Sentek’s user friendly IrriMAX software. The EnviroSCAN sensor technology utilizes Frequency Domain Reflectometry (FDR) to measure soil water.

Sentek EnviroSCAN Plus
EnviroSCAN® Plus combines the sensor technology of the EnviroSCAN® with web enabled, wireless communication. In addition to this, EnviroSCAN® Plus also has the ability to continuously track fertilizer/salinity data through the use of TriSCAN® sensors. EnviroSCAN® Plus can utilise GPRS or NextG communications to send soil water and fertilizer/salinity data from the probe to the users PC via the internet. Alternatively, it provides for direct in-field download when services become unavailable in regional areas.

Sentek EnviroSMART
Sentek's EnviroSMART probe like the EnviroSCAN is a multi-depth soil water monitoring probe. The EnviroSMART difference is the ability to connect the soil monitoring probe to a wide range of technologies, such as data loggers, radios, weather stations and irrigation controllers. In addition, EnviroSMART probes can connect to a range of wireless and web-enabled solutions including GSM, GPRS, CDMA, 1X and satelite communication. The EnviroSMART sensor technolgy utilises Frequency Domain Reflectometry (FDR) to measure soil water.

Sentek EasyAG
The EasyAG probe is an easy to install, slim-line soil water measurement probe. Available in two sizes, the EasyAG 30 is designed to monitor the soil profile to a depth of 30cm (12 inches) whilst the EasyAG 50 is designed to monitor to a depth of 50cm (20 inches). The EasyAG probe can be used in conjunction with a Sentek EnviroSCAN logger as a stand alone system, or connected to a range of other technologies including data loggers, radios, weather stations and irrigation controllers. The EasyAG sensor technology utilizes Frequency Domain Reflectometry (FDR) to measure soil water.

Sentek TriSCAN PLUS
The TriSCAN is designed for fertilizer and salinity management in research, agriculture and environmental applications. The TriSCAN sensor is optimized for one of agriculture’s most common soil texture of sands and sandy loams, and is currently not suitable for clays. TriSCAN continuously tracks fertilizer salts and soil water at multiple depths in the soil profile. The TriSCAN sensors are available in both the EnviroSMART and EasyAG probe format making it suitable for deep installations as well as shallow rooted crops. The EnviroSMART probes have the flexibility to be able to combine standard Sentek sensors with TriSCAN sensors at any 10cm interval. An economical alternative is the TriSCAN EasyAG which is pre-assembled and has fixed TriSCAN sensors to depths of either 50cm or 80cm. TriSCAN Sensor

JKG Tech Soilspec Tensiometer System
A tensiometer is used to provide a direct indication of how difficult it is for a crop to extract moisture from the soil. The Soilspec unit has a special porous ceramic tip at the bottom and a rubber stopper in the top. This tube is installed into the ground where you want to measure the soil moisture and it is then filled with water. As the soil dries out, the surface tension of the moisture in the surrounding soil attempts to draw the water out of the tube through the porous ceramic tip. The suction at the ceramic tip then creates a pressure reduction at the top of the tube. Dry soil around the tip has a high suction. When irrigation or rainfall occurs, and the soil becomes moist, the tension (or suction) at the ceramic tip reduces, decreasing the vacuum at the top of the tube. A high vacuum reading indicates that the soil is dry at and around the ceramic tip, and a low vacuum reading shows that the soil is moist. The SOILSPEC system requires very little maintenance and will provide years of reliable service and the SOILSPEC electronic gauge requires no periodic calibration or zeroing prior to use.

Streat Instruments Aquaflex
AQUAFLEX soil moisture meters are 3m (10') long flexible tape sensors that measure both soil moisture and soil temperature that are laid in the root zone (or wherever you wish to measure). The design overcomes the problems associated with measuring the soil moisture content at one point only and in a relatively small amount of soil. The AQUAFLEX includes automatic temperature compensation and also provides a soil temperature output.

Dormer Auger
A variety of different Auger heads are available suitable for sand or soil, in addition to Jarret and Spiral style heads. Extension rods come in 1.0 m lengths and head diameters can be 50, 62, 75 or 100m.

Dormer Split Tube Sampler
The Split-Tube sampler is for taking undisturbed samples in firm soils. The stainless steel tube is split into two longitudinal halves with threaded retainers on both ends to hold the halves together. It is driven into the soil using a Slide Hammer. The end retainers are unscrewed using the C-spanners supplied and the tube halves are easily parted exposing the cored sample. The SPLIT5035C sampler is 48mm OD, the sample is 40mm diameter and is 350mm sample length.
