Hydrogen release for anaerobic reductive dechlorination of solvents

Introduction of dissolved SF6, argon, etc for use as tracers

Release of CO2 for pH adjustment

Light alkane release to promote co-metabolic biodegradation of MTBE

get a quick quoteThe Waterloo Emitter™ is a simple, low cost device designed for the controlled release of oxygen, or other amendments, to encourage and sustain the growth of microorganisms required for in-situ bioremediation of contaminated groundwater. It enables direct diffusion into an aquifer of fluids (gas or liquid) through silicone or LDPE tubing which is wrapped around a frame. The frame allows insertion of sampling or monitoring devices for down-hole monitoring of groundwater conditions and remediation performance. A simulation calculator for the Waterloo Emitter is available in Microsoft Excel for downloading from www.solinst.com. The Calculator allows the input of your application's specifics and will estimate the output of oxygen through diffusion into the aquifer as well as the oxygen supply consumption rate.

Eon Products Petro Bailer

get a quick quoteThe PetroBailer is a low price passive skimmer that is used to recover gasoline, jet fuel, or similar light hydrocarbons floating on the surface of the water in wells 2-inches diameter and larger. Floating hydrocarbon enters through the hydrophobic filter and fills the reservoir. The skimmer is periodically manually removed and the reservoir emptied by unscrewing the top and pouring out the contents. Since it floats at the interface, the PetroBailer tracks water level changes and operates unattended.

Clean Earth Technologies Magnum Spill Buster

get a quick quoteThe Magnum Spill BusterTM is an automated free phase petroleum contamination pumping system. It is specifically designed to remove floating petroleum product (LNAPL) from the water table via a 2" or larger diameter well. The unique auto-seeking device allows the pump intake to automatically follow the elevation of the oil/water interface as it fluctuates. This is very useful in areas where the water table elevation fluctuates often. The Magnum Spill Buster will not pump water. The system can easily be configured to also pump DNAPL as well.

Silex Selective Passive Skimmer

Applications

Removal of LNAPL

get a quick quoteThe skimmer is placed at the oil/water interface. A hydrophobic membrane allows LNAPL into the reservoir and rejects water. As the reservoir fills, it sinks into the water. When the reservoir is full a stainless steel suspension cable prevents the skimmer from sinking into the water. Remove the skimmer, empty and reinstall. The Selective Passive does not require an outside source of power or compressed gas to operate.

Silex SPP-2-RSS Pneumatic Active Skimmer Pump

Applications

Removal of LNAPL

get a quick quoteThe SPP-2-RSS is a SPP2-TL Pneumatic Pump with a skimmer attached to the top. The skimmer, having a hydrophobic membrane, allows NAPL into the pump and not water. The pump is entirely automatic utilizing a float-trigger system that does not require a pump controller to regulate gas flow, merely a compressed gas source. 3 lines are attached to the pump, air in, air out and sample discharge. As LNAPL enters the pump, a plastic float rises with it. When the reservoir is full the float hits a trigger and compressed gas enters the pump from the top forcing the LNAPL out the discharge line. The float then hits another trigger at the bottom returning the system to its original state and starts the fill sequence again. The skimmer membrane length can be modified on demand

Silex SI-BS E-Belt Skimmer

Applications

Removal of high Viscosity LNAPL in Narrow Wells and Piezometers

The SI-BS Silex E-Belt Skimmer is specifically designed for recovery of product with viscosity in the range 100-300cSt.  The Skimmer can be installed in 2" wells or piezometers down to a maximum depth of 35 meters, with a maximum flow rate of 45 liters per hour depending on the viscosity of the product.  The unit uses a continuous belt which catches the product at the interface, and at the surface of the well two wiper blades remove the product which is captured in a drum for storage and disposal.  Fully automatic, the belt is suspended on a counterweight with a tail pulley, and operated by an electric motor.  For ATEX certified applications, an optional pneumatic controller is available.

Silex SPP3/TLC

Applications

Total fluids pump for any use including water, leachate and NAPL

get a quick quoteThe SPP3/TLC is 77 mm wide and can thus be deployed in wells with a 100 mm or greater diameter, sustaining a flow rate of 16L/min at a maximum depth of 60 m. It is an automatic pump utilizing a float-trigger system that does not require a pump controller to regulate gas flow, merely a compressed gas source. 3 lines are attached to the pump, air in, air out and sample discharge. As liquid enters the pump from the bottom, a plastic float rises with it. When the reservoir is full the float hits a trigger and compressed gas enters the pump from the top forcing the liquid out the discharge line. Silex SPP-3 Combo

Applications

Removal of LNAPL where water level fluctuation is an issue. The SPP-3 Combo can allow for a fluctuation in water level of up to 600 mm.

get a quick quoteThe SPP-3 Combo is combination of a total fluids pump with a SPG Skimmer (specific gravity skimmer) mounted at the top of the pump. The pump is deployed near the surface of the water at the oil/water interface. The skimmer system then sits in the product layer and the pump is filled with product via plastic float. The float has a lower density than water and a higher density than NAPL so it sits right at the interface. The float sits on a rail 600 mm long with a hose running to the pump. This allows for fluctuations in the water table of up to 600 mm. This design also means that once all of the product has been removed, the pump stops automatically. The pump operates in the same manner as the SPP3/TLC.

Silex High Flow Bladder Pump SPP-CM

Applications

Removal of DNAPL

get a quick quoteThe SPP-CM is a bottom-filling bladder pump. When deployed, DNAPL enters the pump via a check ball valve at the bottom and fills a Teflon bladder within. Compressed gas is applied to the pump which squeezes the bladder, closing off the check ball valve at the bottom and forcing the DNAPL out the discharge line at the top of the pump. Fill & discharge time and gas pressure are regulated by a controller at the surface. The unit also comes as a top-loading pump for LNAPL recovery.
