Solinst 101 Water Level Meter

get a quick quoteThe 101 Water Level Meter consists of a choice of a P2 or P6 probe design attached to a polyethylene tape at one end, and at the other end a reel containing the electronic components of the instrument. Two stainless steel conducting cables run down the length of the tape from the reel to the probe. When the probe comes in contact with water, the circuit is completed which in turn activates a buzzer and light on the reel. The tape has clear markings every millimetre and is labeled every centimetre and metre. A controller on the reel allows for a change of sensitivity to ensure a clear signal in high and low conductivity conditions.

Solinst 101M Water Level Meter Mini

Applications

get a quick quoteThe 101 Water Level Meter Mini is an adaptation of the 101 Water Level Meter for narrow diameter applications. Two probe choices are available: the P1 probe has a diameter of 7.9 mm, and the P2 a diameter of 9.5 mm. The probes are attached to polyethylene tape of either 65 ft or 20 m lengths marked either 1/100 ft or 1mm respectively, which is mounted on a conveniently small reel which fits easily into a mini carrying-case or backpack.

The 102 Water Level Meter is much narrower than the 101 Water Level Meter making it specific for small diameter tubes and piezometers or for cases where flexible cable is required to slide past an in-well pump. A laser marked coaxial cable is mounted on a conveniently small reel that is light-weight and fits easily into a mini carrying case or backpack. The accurate cable is marked each millimetre. The 102 Mini is available in 25 m lengths. There is the choice of the P1 (6.4 mm diameter) or P2 (10 mm diameter) Probes with segmented weights.

Solinst 122 Interface Meter

Applications

Determination of LNAPL and DNAPL layers

 

get a quick quoteThe Interface Meter cosists of a probe attached to a polyethylene tape at one end, and at the other end a reel containing the electronic components of the instrument. Two stainless steel conducting cables run down the length of the tape from the reel to the probe. The probe incorporates an infra-red beam and a detector receiving the light signal. When the probe is submerged in any liquid the light is refracted away from the detector causing the system to go into alarm mode. If the layer is NAPL (conductivity less than 50 μS/cm) the alarm will sound with a steady tone and light. When the probe hits water (conductivity greater than 50 μS/cm) the infra-red alarm circuit is overridden and the conductivity alarm is activated, noticeable by a rapid intermittent tone and flash of light.

Solinst 3001 Barologger

get a quick quoteThe Barologger is used to perform barometric compensation for the data obtained by a Levelogger by logging the atmospheric pressure, giving the absolute pressure (water pressure + atmospheric pressure) from which the level can be calculated. By using a Barologger with a Levelogger, there is no time lag in the compensation calculation which can be introduced by moisture build up, kinking or damage to vented cables. The Barologger uses algorithms based on air rather than water, giving superior accuracy. The Data Compensation Wizard in the Levelogger software greatly simplifies the barometric adjustment of the water level measurements by using the synchronized data from one on-site 3001 Barologger with all of the Leveloggers. The overall results give more reliable, highly accurate level data than that obtained when using high maintenance and expensive vented cable.

Clean Earth Technologies Spill Buddy

The Spill Buddy™ is a compact, manually operated, floating petroleum product (LNAPL) pump, which uses sensors to determine the product/water interface. The Spill Buddy can also be used to remove heavier-than-water (DNAPL) contaminants.

This system is used to measure the "depth-to-product" and "depth-to-water" in test wells. The measuring tape and audible feedback allows the user to determine the thickness of the product layer. The operator can pump the product from the well by activating a small switch located on the reel assembly. Pumped product is discharged through a hose on the back side of the reel assembly, into a collection container.

 

The probe easily fits into wells as small as 2" in diameter and can skim up to 0.7 gallons of product per minute. The Spill Buddy units also have a self contained battery rechargeable from a 12 V DC source (car battery or cigarette lighter socket-optional), or the wall transformer provided with the unit. The units can operate for up to one hour of continuous pumping (approx. 40 gallons) per charge.
